Industrial mechanical services for petrochemical facilities

A petrochemical project may connect one principal piece of equipment with piping, supports and the access needed to install it. CNC Mechanical defines those interfaces with the site team so each trade enters the work in a coordinated sequence, whether the job is scheduled in a planned window or performed within an existing facility.

Documented capabilities include millwright services, industrial piping, boilermaking, structural steel and industrial maintenance. The Suncor project provides specific evidence of reactor-related installation. It is not expanded here into other units, dates or results.

Mechanical installation around process equipment

CNC’s millwright record covers work around industrial equipment such as compressors, gears, conveyors, bucket elevators, crushers and rotating equipment. Laser alignment is a separate specialty when it is included in the scope. For a petrochemical project, the applicable equipment list comes from the client’s drawings and equipment documentation.

Boilermaking capabilities include tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, furnaces, dust-collection systems, and ID or FD fans. CNC owns heat-exchanger extraction equipment and develops lifting plans for heavy-equipment handling. Applicable authorizations, standards and methods are confirmed for each task rather than inferred from the equipment name alone.

Piping and supporting steel

CNC estimates, procures and installs service or process piping, instrumentation or hydraulic tubing, and pipe supports. Hydrostatic or pneumatic testing can be included in the approved scope. Pipe fabrication, inspection, heat treatment, painting and insulation are coordinated through subcontractors instead of being presented as in-house services.

Structural work can include erection, modification, reinforcement or repair, as well as the installation of catwalks, stairs, guardrails and mezzanines. This capability helps when access and supports must be coordinated with equipment and piping. It does not imply structural-steel fabrication.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Which services can CNC Mechanical coordinate for a petrochemical facility?

Depending on the scope, CNC can coordinate millwright, industrial-piping, boilermaking, structural-steel and maintenance services. Trade boundaries and interfaces with other contractors are defined before mobilization.

Does CNC Mechanical have published reactor-related work?

Yes. The Suncor record describes installation related to the D-4300 reactor, including an assembly shop, mechanical reactor assembly and piping installation. Publication remains subject to client approval.

Does CNC Mechanical fabricate piping in house?

CNC’s documented role covers estimating and installation. Fabrication, inspection, heat treatment, painting and insulation are coordinated with subcontractors according to the approved contractual split.

What should a petrochemical RFQ include?

Provide the scope, drawings and specifications, available equipment data, piping limits, lifting needs, site conditions and work window. Identify the facility’s technical contacts and known access or prevention requirements.
