Define the joint and the required procedure
A useful RFQ identifies each flange or joint, its size and rating, fastener and gasket information, service conditions, access and the governing owner procedure. It should also state who supplies the engineering values, who verifies joint condition and what documentation or witness points are required.
This page does not claim every torqueing, tensioning or specialty method. CNC will confirm the suitable equipment, trained personnel and approved procedure for the requested work. Any engineering determination, inspection or third-party witnessing remains explicitly assigned.
Integrate bolting with piping and vessel work
Controlled flange work commonly sits at the handoff between trades. CNC can coordinate it with process-piping installation, tank and pressure-vessel work or a broader plant shutdown.
That coordination helps establish when the joint is available, whether connected equipment is aligned and supported, who has accepted the gasket and fasteners, and when the completed joint can move to testing or commissioning. It also prevents the bolting activity from being separated from isolation, access and system handback.

Planning for safe access and documentation
Before work begins, the team needs a safe working position, the correct tools, verified joint components and a clear exclusion zone. Site-specific hazards and permit requirements are incorporated into the work plan. CNC's broader prevention approach includes worker orientation, job safety analysis, work planning and task-appropriate personal protective equipment.
Documentation requirements should be agreed before execution. If the owner needs joint identification, tool records, completion sheets or witness signatures, include the required format in the RFQ. CNC can then price the actual deliverable instead of assuming a generic record.
Request a controlled-bolting review
Send the line list or joint register, flange data, drawings, procedure, target values supplied by the responsible authority, access details and schedule. Identify whether the work is part of an installation, leak-response plan, maintenance event, hydrostatic test or shutdown.
